Alliances with at least 5 members automatically take part in a war once a week. Wars are a great chance to win huge prices.
To deploy a unit at the start of a battle, just drag it’s icon onto to the lighter shaded deployment area. During battle you can select all units of the same time by double tapping any of their icons. Tap&hold anywhere on level will bring up selection circle. Move the circle over units you want to select from the field and release to select them all at once.
Alliances with at least 5 members automatically take part in a war once a week. In war five alliances are pitted against each other to see who is the best. Every bullet you gain in war attacks count towards your alliance’s total score. After 3 days the war ends and alliances with most bullets win free Alliance Tokens and Medals! Your share of the winnings is based on how many bullets you brought to your alliance. In war attacks defender does not lose any resources and neither attacker nor defender lose battle rank, it is only the bullets gained through victory that count. To compensate the attacker for building troops and battle cards, attacker is rewarded resources based on bullets gained in the attack. New war will start 78 hours after the last one ended.
The blue alliance tokens are very valuable currency, but hard to acquire in large amounts. You get 250 alliance tokens on first time you join an alliance and Alliance Wars will reward best players with alliance tokens. The level of your Alliance Center defines how much alliance tokens it can hold. Alliance tokens are used to boost both resource and defensive buildings. The attacker does not see what defensive buildings have been boosted: until they open fire! The tokens are also used to upgrade and purchase some of the more powerful Battle Cards like the dreaded Nuke.
The most important thing about defence is that different defensive buildings work better against different units and have different tactical uses. For example, bunkers are tough and do a lot of damage against infantry but have only limited range. MG Towers do less damage but have far greater range and can also target flying units. AT-Guns can destroy even tanks in few shots but are easily overrun by massed infantry. Mortars are the bane of massed infantry as they cause area damage, but are very vulnerable to vehicles and completely helpless against air units. Planning your defences well is the key to keep other players from stealing your resources or getting bullets from your base in war attacks.
You deploy your troops by simply dragging them anywhere on the deployment area surrounding the enemy base. Defensive buildings will not react to your troops until you give the first order or the deployment time runs out. You have to give the first order to your troops manually, be it move or attack order, but after that they will automatically attack nearest enemy building. Despite this, you retain full control of your units throughout the battle. You can at any time give additional move and attack orders to any and all of your troops. You can select individual unit simply by tapping its icon. Double tapping on any unit icon will multi-select all units of the same type. Holding your finger on the screen will bring up selection ring. While holding your finger on the screen, you can move the ring around and when you lift your finger all units inside are selected. This is great way of selecting group of different units at once.
You can upgrade your troops in the same buildings they are trained in. Upgrading is important as it greatly improves units damage value and hit points. It is also possible to increase the number of individual troops in a unit and so make them much more powerful.
Battle cards are developed in the Tech Center. You can upgrade the cards to make their effects more powerful. At the start of the game you only have available card slot, but you unlock more by upgrading your Tech Center to higher levels. Cards are very easy to use: just drag them on battlefield!
New HQ levels unlock new base layouts. It is a good idea to experiment with different layouts, as they offer different defensive capabilities. Find the ones that suit your tactics!
Be sure to request troops from the members of your alliance. The eighth unit slot is reserved for units donated by another alliance member. Request can be done in Barracks, Vehicle Factory and Hangar. Donated units can be used in attack just as your own units. When someone in your alliance requests a unit, you can see this in the alliance chat. You gain Alliance tokens if you donate troops to your alliance members. Be sure to donate units to others, especially during wars as this helps your alliance and yourself to win the war!
Every time that you destroy enemy building in a battle, there is a small chance that you receive a blueprint. You can use those blueprints in Research Center (unlocks at HQ level 3) to boost your gameplay.
